Wärtsilä Finland, Marine Power Supply, Delivery Centre Vaasa / Smart Technology Hub, Operational Purchasing is looking for an Operational Purchaser. Position is temporary 9 months and located in Vaasa, Finland. The position is crucial for securing the on-time material availability and optimizing the inventory level. Previous experience in purchasing or logistics in manufacturing industry is appreciated.

Responsibilities
Ensure that the right amount of required material is available just on time when needed
Be responsible for forecasting, requirement & delivery planning, ordering and order supervision for assigned component portfolio
Operational management of supply chain for assigned suppliers
Manage and measure supplier quality level
Manage document revision to supplier
Maintain and develop material master dataOptimize the inventory turnover
Other tasks related to operative purchasing
RequirementsBSc or MSc in Economics, Engineering or similar. Please note that even if you are on the final stages of your studies, we encourage you to apply!Experience in purchasing or logistics in manufacturing industry is highly appreciatedGood communication, team working and social skills
Systematic and proactive approach to working
Strong problem solving skillsStrong PC skills (e.g. SAP, MES, PowerBI knowledge)Fluent in spoken and written English and Finnish (Swedish and German skills are seen as an advantage)Knowledge of demand driven material requirements planningKnowledge of LEAN principles is seen as advantage (e.g. value stream mapping, kaizen, root cause analysis)Experience in process development is seen as advantage
