We are looking for Senior Marine Hydrodynamics Engineers to carry out design of WTG foundations for Offshore Wind - from conceptual design to detailed design. You will play a crucial role in designing great projects with great people, ensuring operational and technical excellence and making our customers’ needs come true. The design activities will cover loads assessments, design of bottom fixed and floating substructures for offshore wind, including mooring design. The Wind Energy and Renewables organization consist of 125 dedicated colleagues working from Denmark, Germany, Norway and Taiwan, while collaborating closely with energy and marine colleagues in the United Kingdom and North America. You will join a dynamic team that delivers offshore wind energy solutions and offers full lifecycle services to our customers. We have a track record in making wind energy solutions possible even under the most demanding conditions – on sites with extreme environmental conditions, deep waters, on challenging soil, and in regions with high seismic activity. We design both floating and bottom fixes structures. Since 1980, we have been involved in more than 1,000 wind power projects in 70 countries.
Our offshore wind organisation consists of dedicated specialists and project managers, covering all main design services. We are part of COWI's major business line -– International - and work in a highly international environment with projects all over the world.DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

As part COWIs Offshore Wind organization, we are looking for candidates with experience in design of substructures for offshore wind turbines, offshore substations and/or offshore installations in general during all project phases, from conceptual design to detailed design. Reporting to the Head of Section for Offshore Wind, you will be fully responsible for providing technical input and leadership to a range of offshore wind projects around the world.The role may require international travel nominally on a short-term basis between other COWI offices in Europe and worldwide or working from client / project offices. The role will include supporting the business development team in developing offshore wind project opportunities.
On day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
Complex load assessment for design of offshore wind substructures
Advanced hydrodynamic analyses of large volume and slender structures
Global hydrodynamic design and structural response
Providing technical as well as discipline leadership on our projects,
Providing inputs or guidance to project teams and leading by example
Participating in the design of substructures for offshore wind from feasibility stage through detailed design, including construction support in accordance with project requirements
Developing design methodologies and contributing to knowledge sharing
Preparation of high-quality analyses, written reports and checking of drawings

You hold a B.Sc., M.Sc. or PhD in marine hydrodynamics engineering and have significant experience with design of substructures for Offshore Wind or Offshore Oil&Gas.Furthermore, you:
Are expert in dynamic load and response
Are expert in hydrodynamic analyses
Have significant experience with design of substructures and moorings
Are familiar with Marine and Offshore design standards
Have excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
Can work across disciplines and manage cultural differences
