For Schlumberger, Well Constructions Measurement – Geoservices we are looking to strengthen our team due to high activity.

This is an offshore position in rotation, local connection to the workshop at Tananger is a requirement as all planning and job preparations are done locally.
Job summary:
The Offshore Technician will be part of a pool of technicians on 5-4 offshore rotation who will be responsible for planning and performing installation of Schlumberger equipment offshore.
We have a wide range of equipment, and the candidate needs to be able to work independently with:
EX equipment, including pressurized office containers and Intrinsic Safe sensor systems.
Setup of computer systems and network. Fiber termination.
Cable run and termination.
Mechanical Installation of equipment. Welding.
Documentation, reports and technical drawing (AutoCAD & Visio).
Essential responsibilities and duties:
Perform rig survey, installation or service for following equipment.
Proactive in finding solutions to issues independently and suggesting improvement in the way we do things.
High working capacity and ability to work efficiently alone
Be ready to travel offshore at short notice during the 5 weeks on-duty period.
Good communication and cooperation skills in order to get things done in a demanding offshore environment.
Be able to lead others in an effective manner. This can be Apprentices, Field Operators or third-party technicians
Ensure job is performed accurate and on time.
Follow Schlumberger, client and rig specific procedures and rules to ensure excellent service quality and HSE performance.
Provide technical assistance to various projects as required.
Ensure installed equipment meet internal and customer requirements prior to handover to operations.
Continuously strive to provide the best Service Quality to our customers and using reporting systems to improve it.
Is aware of, and respects all safety regulations and procedures, as specified by the Client, Drilling Operator, Schlumberger or relevant safety authorities.
Ensures that the Company HSE Policy and Quality Management System are followed and applied at all times, including standards, procedures and guidelines.
Actively seek new knowledge on the job, by Schlumberger training program or external training.
QUALITY management:
Keeps up to date and follow Schlumberger standards and procedures.
Manages equipment preparation as per operational needs and meeting contractual requirements, by strictly adhering to standards and procedures
Ensures a high standard of Quality Control is maintained for equipment installation.
Applies good troubleshooting processes and root cause analysis to ensure quality repairs, failure analysis and work order closure.
Participates in technical audits where applicable within the area and follows up on maintenance related, remedial action plan closures.
Actively uses and promotes the use of Schlumberger knowledge sharing systems, both for technical solutions and knowledge sharing with best practices etc.

Profile:
For this position, the candidate shall have the following:
Trade Certificate (fagbrev) as Electrician, Automatician or similar
Excellent general computer knowledge (hardware, software, network, video, etc.)
Genuine interest in technology and IT
Valid offshore health certificate
EX course
Offshore experience
EX Equipment Experience
Knowledge of relevant NORSOK standards
Fluent English and Norwegian
Training will be given where needed, but basic knowledge is required.
The candidate needs to be eager to learn and have a working attitude of not being finished until the job is done.
