The Operations Equipment & Parts Management department of MHI Vestas is currently looking for the perfect match for a 2-year apprenticeship within office skills training with a specialty in Purchasing, beginning 1st of October 2020 at the latest.

Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

…be a part of the Operational Purchasing team within Operations Equipment & Parts Management, and you will collaborate closely with your internal colleagues as well as with external stakeholders, especially suppliers. Your main responsibilities will be in relation to the purchase itself and the administration of it.

You will be able to plan and undertake a purchase by mastering the purchasing systems of the organisation. In addition, you will be responsible for reordering items on the basis of inventories and turnover rates. Importantly, you will also participate in the optimisation of the purchasing process, for example by analysing and assessing the organisation’s opportunities in the value chain in relation to value creation.

In addition, you will also be performing administrative tasks in relation to purchases, including the handling of purchase invoices and order sheets. You will also be highly involved in the maintenance of the purchasing systems.
You will also participate in:

Performing price and quality control

Handling product defects and incorrect deliveries

Using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to support the purchasing function

Withdrawing and monitoring purchasing- and performance goals

Attending to internal clients

Complying to national and international rules of trade and transport in relation to purchasing of products

Optimisation of internal processes, for example by using Lean

Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

…has excellent people and communication skills, as you will be interacting with many diverse stakeholders. Since you will be joining an international organisation, it is crucial that you are openminded and are excellent at adjusting your communication to the suppliers’ cultural backgrounds and expectations to the partnership. You should furthermore have a good understanding of business processes, and be detail- and service oriented.
We expect that you:

Have finished Upper Secondary School (Studentereksamen)

Have Purchasing as your specialty

Speak and write English fluently
