CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with experience from an international working environment, preferably in the maritime-/offshore industry. The purpose of the position is to ensure operational excellence in compliance with the company's commitment towards our clients.
Our COO will be an important part of the management group and have significant influence on company strategy. You will have challenging work tasks and broad responsibilities, from identifying improvements to our services and providing key decision support to commercial contract, new building contract and agreement with Shipman operator.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and monitor compliance with commitments and rights in the charterparties
Monitor services provided by the Shipman operator including budgets and ensure that corrective actions are effectuated
On behalf of management give input to appointed Shipman operator related to existing vessels and new buildings and act as company's focal point for same
Close follow-up of company projects and newbuilds and monitor actual progress
Responsible for formal contact with charterers after signed contracts and ensure that areas of improvements are identified and implemented in the company's plans and services
Together with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) ensure that relevant tenders and/or charterer's requests are prepared and submitted in a professional matter
Maintain and develop company's Sustainabilty program
Participate in the development of the company`s business strategy and provide operational insight to the organisation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Maritime, technical and/or commercial degree
Experience in fleet operations and/or project management from larger organisations
Professional experience from similar position, preferably in maritime-/offshore industry
Commercial attitude with track record from project management with ability to drive performance improvement processes and create results, including KPI development
Proactive change agent with a sound combination of strategic thinking and hands-on approach
Knowledge and interest in the principals of safety- and quality management and sustainability programs
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting relations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Comprehensive knowledge of business intelligence tools and general IT proficiency

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Edda Wind
is a provider of purpose-built Service Operation Vessels (SOV) and Commissioning Service Operation vessels (CSOV) to the global offshore wind market since 2015. The vessels accommodate wind turbine technicians and provide services during the commissioning and operation of offshore wind farms. The company owns and operates two vessels working for Ørsted. In addition, there is a newbuild program of two SOVs and four CSOVs, of which two SOVs and two COSVs are committed on mid- to long term contracts with Vestas, Ocenan Breeze, Siemens Gamesa and SSE. The vessels are managed by Østensjø Rederi AS.
