Local Unit & Position Description:

Ship Classification covers Classification and Statutory services and provides governance, support, and development of our global work processes NB, CMC, and FIS in addition to carrying out approval within these processes. Ship Classification is the backbone of the Maritime Business consisting of 7 units: Approval, Class Development, Class Services & Quality Task Force, Quality & Safety, Technical Support, and Regulatory Affairs.
Rules and Standards Publishing House (R&S) is a part of the Class Services & Quality Task Force. Our rules, standards, and guidelines are developed and based on the competence and experience of our engineers, extensive research and development programs, and close cooperation with our customers worldwide.
(R&S) support the DNV organization across all business areas in developing and maintaining forms and document templates used to produce more than 2,6 million documents every year. These documents range from letters and certificates to 400-page reports.
We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team.
Your number one responsibility would be to ensure that all templates for customer communications, such as reports, proposals, letters, etc., enable and support our 12,000 employees to create quality documents that meet the expectations of DNVs international customers.
A part of your responsibility would be to keep yourself up to date with new capabilities in Microsoft Word, related Microsoft Office applications and bring that knowledge to the rest of the section.
You will also contribute to the regular development and maintenance of forms and document templates for Microsoft Word, using in-house developed applications for building Word templates and handling change requests and testing.
Position Qualifications:
3-5 years experience in making Word templates
Experience in creating long and advanced documents with cross-references and appendices
High general knowledge of IT
High general knowledge MS Office and super-user knowledge of MS Word
Fluent communication in English, both written and verbal
Analytical and independent mindset
Structured, well organized and attentive to details
Self-driven and, at the same time, a good team player
Positive, service-minded and customer-focused
General cultural awareness and is open to working with people from different cultures/geographies
