Our client is looking for Machinery engineer to join the company. The successful candidate(s) will provide marine engineering expertise and support to all stages of the Machinery design process for various types of ships and offshore installations; From initial sizing and arrangement of machinery systems to production of P&IDs and associated calculations.Job Description:Carry out conversion projects on behalf of owners or yardsSupport process and design improvements in response to cost reduction, energy optimization, environment, value engineering, reliability improvement, and customer satisfaction driversTake the lead role in mechanical design of new vessels, at Tender and Basic design levelCoordinate drawing changes as required to implement design improvements of company’s portfolio of various ship designsCommunicate with Class and AuthoritiesRead, interpret, and comprehend customer specifications and requirements as they relate to new vessels and conversion of vesselsMaintain a current knowledge of marine industry equipment usage, design trends, design standards and rulesQualifications:Machinery and pipe system design software and office computer toolsProficiency to work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and perform multiple tasks with critical concurrent deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills as minimum in EnglishSelf-motivated in anticipating, identifying, and taking action on potential issues and problemsAbility to work within a multi-disciplinary teamAble to think independently and formulate conclusions consistent with company’s high standardsDemonstrated high level of accountability, integrity and ethics in the performance of assigned tasksAutoCad, MS office, 3D-modelling (minor extend)Travel as required to support field, client or supplierAboutOur client is an independent international ship design business, located in Norway and Russia.They focus on delivering innovative design and engineering solutions with the best available technologies and performance.The company was established in 1992 and has over the years been working successfully on the maritime market.Currently is a fully equipped company, priding itself on high qualified Naval Architects and Marine Engineers delivering projects in a professional manner.The specialization covers different range of vessels with the whole aspect of ship design and engineering, including project development and general initial design.Our principle objectives are to provide an outstanding level of service and in the long run take the lead among Norwegian ship design companies.Posted: October 23rd 2018
