Our colleague is moving on to another great role in our team and thus we are looking for a new colleague in our Marine People Advisor Team in NEU.

When describing what we do in Marine People NEU, in short, it is taking care of our seafarers.

We are overall responsible for ~1200 mostly European seafarers whom we take care of. We have the E2E management of recruitment, performance management, talent management, training, retention and exit.

Our days are a strong combination of daily operational tasks such as “check the emails to see whether we have booked all the right trainings” to dedicated conversations with the seafarers on performance, wellbeing and development. It can sometimes be a challenge to balance doing both and we work on being better at this every day.

It goes without saying that we as a team are truly passionate about making a difference to our seafarers and we would expect you to be the same.

Key responsibilities
You will be in charge of supporting a dedicated group of seafarer with everything from:Issuing employment agreementsEngage in performance and promotion conversations
Support with disciplinary actions/sanctions if necessaryIdentify training needs in line with our talent management strategyAssist with various operational HR-related support e.g. act as sparring partner in case of queries
Support next of kin conversations
Everyone in the team is a part of the duty phone schedule as well, which you will also take part of.We are looking for
Its not secret it’s a clear advantage to be familiar with this kind of work and have knowledge about the maritime industry – however, if you are strong HR-professional, you can easily pick it up.
Qualities such as service-minded, “let me just get this done” mindset and curiosity will get you far.

We have SOPs to follow but we appreciate pragmatic solutions as well – and will always value your ideas for improvement.

The position is located at Esplanaden, Copenhagen
You are at ease in managing multiple and changing priorities and stakeholders and can keep a good overview even during busy periods.

You are a fast learner and have a strong sense of urgency and drive to deliver quality in your work - all at the same time.
Danish language knowledge is an advantage but not a must.
