Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy are seeking applications within the maritime field for our Offshore Market Unit. We are looking for strong and dedicated Marine Operations Managers to provide expert maritime knowledge for our internal project portfolio.

As a marine professional working with SGRE, you will be involved in management of vessel, vessel operations and interfaces to offshore wind installation projects. The position, based in Vejle Denmark, offers a great mix between onshore office work and going offshore visiting and managing the fleet within our offshore projects. In this position you can expect travel activities primarily within the Asia and Europe.

How to contribute to our vision

Being member of project teams providing maritime knowledge and services to our offshore wind farm projects prior to, and during the building phase

Development of technical solutions, budget development and implementation of strategic objectives.

Performing and reporting vessel inspections, vessel and company audits

Supporting EHS (Environmental Protection, Health Management & Safety) in maritime matters

Supporting the Tender and Construction group in issuing tender budgets, manpower requirements and construction programs

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

You have a maritime background, preferably within the offshore industry with +5 years of experience with knowledge of offshore or offshore wind projects

You hold some experience within management of large-scale projects. Preferably you also have experience with maritime assets and logistics.

You have a technical or marine commercial education at MSc level (e.g. Naval Architect, marine officer or engineer) combined with experience from the maritime industry, preferably from vessel design, operational management, engineering & offshore operations.

You have a strong understanding of vessel regulatory requirements, design and performance

As a person, you are open-minded and proactive with strong strategic and analytical skills, and you have a result and quality-oriented approach to your assignments

You are a dedicated team player with the ability to manage and motivate smaller teams to perform successfully

You thrive in a multi-cultural environment and possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing

You have a structured mindset and a strategic view on things, though you possess the right skills to switch between detailed and high-level overview and thereby create a clear image of the product scope and processed data.
