LMG Marin AS is one of Europe's leading naval architectural and ship design houses, with a dedicated organization of skilled engineers and naval architects. LMG Marin are at the forefront of vessel design and development work related to green energy solutions as well as covering more traditional maritime projects. We are centrally located in Solheimsviken, with direct access to the city centre of Bergen and the surrounding area. LMG are part of the Sembcorp Marine (Singapore) group of companies and have subsidiary companies in Toulouse, Szczecin and Ålesund.
We have a number of exciting projects starting up and for our main office in Bergen we are currently seeking:
Structural & Marine Systems Engineers/Senior Engineers
The positions in question provide the opportunity for participation in a diverse range of projects, and cooperation with LMG colleagues with long and varied experience. The roles will involve a wide range of structural and marine systems tasks such as:
Structural
Structural design of ships structures, global and local
Global/local structural analysis work
Production of structural drawings
Production of structural analysis and similar reports
Evaluation and suggestion of structural optimization/weight saving possibilities
Coordination with other LMG disciplines
Contact and coordination with client and yard organizations
Work with Autocad, SESAM, Nauticus Hull etc.
Marine Systems
Design, dimensioning and drafting (Autocad) of marine and machinery systems (P&ID)
Design and drafting of machinery and technical room arrangements
Production of system philosophy documents
Participation in writing vessel technical specifications
Coordination with other LMG disciplines
Contact and coordination with client and yard organizations
Contact and technical coordination with equipment suppliers
Who should apply?
LMG are interested in candidates with relevant experience but would also strongly encourage applications from newly qualified candidates with a relevant technical background and desire to quickly develop their engineering skills. Candidates should have completed (or be about to complete) relevant technical education, typically to Bachelor or Master level.
