The nacelle department is responsible for design and verification of structural capacity of the nacelles for the next generation wind turbines. The nacelle structural team consist of 9 highly skilled FEA engineers, who do calculations on everything in the nacelle, from stairs and platforms (Secondary structures) to casted components, Yaw drive, composite canopy, cooling tower and much more.How to contribute to our visionAs a member of the nacelle structural team, you will work in close collaboration with project managers, product owners and chief engineers. You are responsible for the structural capacity of the primary and secondary components in the nacelle and furthermore, you will be leading the structural team, coordinating the FE calculations and ensure that the team delivers up to SGRE standards throughout an NPD project. You will be highly involved in the certification process of the nacelle and also take part in developing the tools, the methods and the team itself.What you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…An individual with an engineering background preferably a mechanical engineering or construction engineering background who has 5 years of relevant work experience and experience from the wind industry. Furthermore, you will also have a strong technical mindset and has prior experience in leading a team. You have prior experience with stakeholder management as you will be communicating with various departments and external stakeholders.
