We are looking for a new Lead Engineer to Release Management. Join us and support us solve one of the most important global issues of our time - ensuring a more sustainable future.Power Solutions > Applications, Controls and Electrical > Turbine Release Management
Vestas Power Solutions is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale with more than 1,500 employees.
The Release Management department integrates and tests software from 250 developers and delivers the turbine software for all Vestas' turbines including Safety Software, Control Software and Functional Safety at turbine level. Our CI/CD pipeline is testing both in PC environment and on simulated turbine hardware. We are continuously regression testing our turbine software, and always strive to improve and use innovative testing software and infrastructure. The department currently consists of 11 employees, and 2 consultants, located in DK and Porto. We are an experienced team with an average on 10+ years in Vestas. The tone is informal, and there´s room for social conversations in the team.

Responsibilities
As Integrator in Release management, your main responsibility will include:
Merge software from developers into our master stream and ensure we have a stable software stream for turbine releases
Maintain and publish release notes both for internal and external customers
Close collaboration with software developers in Skejby, Porto, Chennai as well as and technical support assistance worldwide
Monitor the software building system, and investigate when builds are failing
Revert software deliveries if bugs are detected
Remote upload software to our test turbines across Europe
Support our developers regarding build system queriesQualifications
In this role we expect, that you have:
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with Configuration Management
Experience with GIT
Experience with Python is an advantage, but not a requirement
Ability to communicate with many stakeholders in a big organisation
Education within software – would be a benefit
Hardware understanding is an advantage, but not a requirement

Your primary work location will be Vestas office in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect up to 10 days of travel per year.
