Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.For our R&D team in the Service business unit, we are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer for P2X technologies, looking to drive continuous improvement activities of our latest developments within offshore wind power hydrogen production.You will become part of a dynamic and engaged team that explores new technologies such as hydrogen production and distribution, hybrid energy systems, energy storage solutions, power-to-H, drones for service and maintenance, AI, and much more. We take them from idea to real life test and finally work with other teams to get ready for commercialization. In short, we want colleagues who can bring forth ideas and enjoy working in a team to test them. Some ideas will fail, and some will turn out to be relevant to implement and you will be involved in it all the way.How to contribute to our visionAs our new Lead Engineer, you will orchestrate and consolidate the development efforts in the newly established P2X competence center in our Global Service Business Unit in close collaboration with our Offshore and Onshore development teams within the fields of power-to-X systems (electrolysis).You will take part in shaping the future of wind energy by taking ownership of development activities, installation, performance testing, characterization using your skills and experience within project management and technical understanding of complex projects. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Service R&D within the Global Service R&D Directorate in Brande.We have high ambitions for continuously improving our performance in the area of P2X, and are expanding this new team rapidly over the next year. We are looking to fit several roles and responsibility areas within hydrogen production, gas distribution systems and system controls.What you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. In order for you to succeed in this position you should have several years experience with hand-on execution of gas component installation and demonstrated practical experience within PEM and/or alkaline electrolysis. A good understanding of the economics of electrolysis, gas/hydrogen markets, hydrogen infrastructure, logistics and safety are all advantageous skills as well.You probably have a degree within chemical, petroleum, piping or electrical engineering or similar, coupled with 3+ years of experience working with gas technologies. You also have extensive knowledge of asset performance diagnostics, measurement, testing and characterization, and product development or project management.As a person, you are a self-starter with ability to lead technical initiatives and globally distributed teams. You have organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, and must be willing to travel up to 20% time for domestic and international travel.You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills.
