Interface Engineer – Contract – Sweden/GermanyAre you an Interface Engineer with a background in Offshore Wind, engineering and construction? We are supporting our client in sourcing an experienced Interface Engineer for a contract role based in Hamburg, Germany or Malmo, Sweden.The Interface Engineer will be supporting bid development for two project sites in Denmark. This opportunity will start as a remote based role and will transition into an office-based role once Covid restrictions are eased, the candidate will be expected in the office 3-4 days per week.To be considered for the role you must have a demonstrable track record as an Interface Engineer, be experienced in Offshore Wind development, construction and operation and have a University degree (or equivalent) in relevant technical or engineering discipline.Key Experience:Experience in the management of interfaces.Excellent communication, analytical and conceptual skills.Strong coordination skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful.Commercially aware and LCOE (Low Cost of Energy) driven approach. Active contribution to winning bids.The scope of work includes the offshore wind farm the electrical transmission system so experience in this field is also important.The Role:Identification of technical interface issues and the facilitation of their resolution and an active support to the packages solution of interface gags or overlaps.Develop, apply and maintain monitoring processes and interface management tools throughout the design, construction and installation phases. Actively follow up on interface actions and support in solutions.Ensure that HSE considerations are fundamental inputs to the design process across the project and that designers cooperate via the interface management process. Support a HSE compliant design approach and liaise with HSE coordinators.Communicate interface risk to the Engineering and Package Managers and other project stakeholdersEnsure compatibility of scopes and technical specifications throughout the design phase, in supply contracts and during manufacturingCoordinate interface meetings with potential suppliersEnsure compliance with industry best practice and relevant legislationSupport the design review and approval process.The Contract:Duration: Start – ASAP and continue project until 31/12/21.Mon – Fri 40 Hours Per Week, flexible working remotely and office based 3-4 days per week.Rate: Flexible depending on experience.This is an ideal and exciting opportunity for an Interface Engineer looking for a semi remote working contract with one of the largest renewable energy suppliers in Europe.The candidate must have the rights to work in the location stated in the job advert.Please note, Quanta part of QCS Staffing does not sponsor Visa applications.To view Quanta's privacy policy, please visit our website
