Jobbeskrivelse
The HSEQ Coordinator will report directly to the HSE Manager & DPA (Designated Person Ashore). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Operations team with particular focus on Occupational health and safety, the ISM, and the development of our new Safety Management System platform.
This is a new position and requires a person who is self-motivated, energetic and not afraid to develop their role. It will require a quick learner who thinks outside the box but can balance creativity with an understanding and application of compliance requirements. You will have a central practical role in the organization with a broad professional contact. You understand the need for being visible and you are passionate about working with people.
It should be expected that the role will have a limited routine allowing you to design and influence the scope of your position. Some of the tasks require an eye for fine detail and a capacity to source and align information from multiple sources. You will be required to flex your skills and expand your knowledge, as you will help with myriad subjects such as flag state regulations, sustainability goals and measurements, HSE projects, and most importantly supporting our evolving safety culture.
Ansvarsområder
Support the activities relating to Scandlines’ common approach to operational, strategic, regulatory, and analytical work in relation to work environment and safety.
Critical tasks will include:
Become fluent in our Safety Management System platform Sertica and other important HSEQ programsAssists in implementation of Company HSEQ programs, policies, procedures and processesAssist the DPA with matters pertaining to flag state compliance and ISM topicsAssist with building an aligned HSEQ approach across Scandlines as a CompanyResponsible for ensuring the promotion of awareness of HSEQ requirements throughout the organization, through liaison with external parties on matters relating to HSEQ
Faglige kompetencer
In addition to the relevant education, we expect a broad knowledge of the HSEQ area, preferably within the Maritime industry with seagoing experience.
Knowledge of Maritime regulatory compliance will be a strong advantage.
Knowledge of Occupational health and safety, specifically Danish regulations and requirements.
You are used to working with the Office package and in general, a skilled IT resource, quick and eager to learn about new programs and processes.
You speak and write fluent Danish and English. A poised communicator in general who are also able to present and speak to groups of people.
Personlige kompetencer
Well organized, structured and careful.
Able to see and understand ‘the big picture’ when it comes to projects and initiatives.
You can be an experienced HSE coordinator, but you can also be a specialist with less experience, as long as your attitude and energy match the profile we want.
You aspire to be a HSE role model.
Emphasis is once again on having a human approach. You are good at communicating and know that success and results comes through a joint effort. You understand the importance of good collaboration across the organization and understand how your behavior and practical approach creates respect for your person.
You are good at conveying messages at all levels and your combination of a good mood, perseverance and commitment ensures that you reach your and the company's goals.
