Description

ESVAGT’s core business is safety and support at sea. Customers take the ‘ESVAGT Standard’ for granted. But we cannot…!
Risk based thinking is ingrained in our DNA. We do it safely - or not at all. We continuously strive to improve the way we work and are always committed to develop and test new processes, solutions and equipment.
To improve the safety performance and the relations between the offshore and the onshore staff, ESVAGT is now employing an HSE Officer. The HSE Officer will visit vessels offshore to train the crew in safe work planning and take learnings back to the office. Post-incident visits and follow-up on corrective actions will also occur.
You have a maritime background with a STCW certified education, preferably with experience from HSE positions either on or offshore. You are engaged in the safety work onboard and have a good understanding of and hands-on experience in the use of ToolBox Talks, Risk Assessments and Permit to Work.
You are enthusiastic about new work tasks and willing to go the extra mile. However, you have good people and communication skills and want to use this to create a better and safer workplace for all in ESVAGT.
You will be a part of the HSE team where we support each other and work as a team. You will get in contact with colleagues across the organisation, onshore as well as offshore. You will work on varies vessels across the ESVAGT Fleet, but have much independency in planning of your work time. The position requires that you be on a new vessel every time you muster and that the periods onboard will vary in length and depend on accessibility to the vessel. (The position is on a DIS-contract/offshore).
You will use your experience with safe work to inspire and assist in setting the direction for the continues development of the health and safety work in ESVAGT. As a part of the HSE team you will have influence on how HSE is approached in ESVAGT. You will receive an individual introduction to ESVAGT and the fleet with the onshore HSE team and an existing HSE Officers.
