You will join our Pipeline department
As our new Head of Pipeline Department, you will be leading a strong technical team. The department has more than four decades of experience with major pipeline projects and deliver engineering and consultancy services for projects around the world. The focus areas of the department are gas transmission and distribution, upstream oil & gas as well as the growing market for hydrogen and CO2. We cover all aspects of projects including concept and feasibility studies, detailed engineering, EPC and follow-on engineering. The department has strong references with offshore pipelines, in particular in North- and Baltic Seas, but is also engaged in onshore pipelines in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Develop the future strategy of the department to meet current and future market and client demands including more international projects
Develop the services of the department accordingly
Develop and build relationship with new and existing clients and conduct sales meetings
Develop employees
Ensure quality in project deliverables
Operational management of department on day-to-day basis to ensure optimal utilization of resources and execution of projects
Accountable for department economy.

A Bachelor, Master or PhD
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in pipeline engineering, i.e. solid technical background
Minimum 5 years of experience with people management including personal development management, alternatively significant (minimum 8 years) project management experience with people management duties
Leadership skills in terms of identifying and developing talent, set direction for teams and manage performance
Possesses strong communication and negotiation skills
Commercial understanding
Proven track record on delivering results
International experience is an advantage.
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role are that you are a natural leader who can motivate your team through communication and action, you have a high level of empathy, good situational awareness and is very enthusiastic. Further, you must have a strategic mindset supporting the continuous development of the department.
