The mission of the role is to take the Cobham SATCOM post sales service/support to the next level by leading and performing the One Winning SATCOM transformation in service, and building a cross-vertical organization.
Together with the Digitalization team, implement new tools in technical after sales (post sales) support.
Build the service delivery and 24/7 support functions to support the managed services, ConnectIT and new Tracker and Systems business.
Build the required training program and organization to meet the commitments to the channel and service partners across Land and Maritime business units.
Define and instill a continuous improvement culture based on Service Excellence programs.
Drive sales of spare parts and service contracts based on installed base, in close collaboration with sales teams.
You will report to the SVP Maritime, the role can be placed in either Concord US or Lyngby, Denmark.

As a Director, Global Service, your key responsibilities will be:
Define – in alignment with stakeholders in the company – the global service policies
Build and manage the support organization – redefine and align with regional sales managers the regional set-up, if relevant
Ensure ability to deliver the required support related to the managed services offerings and other service contracts (Service Delivery)
Implement – together with the digitalization team – new tools, portal etc. to match the current and future support expectations
Define and implement the future training model
Implement a 24/7 support function or call centre to match the identified needs and contractual obligations
As a Director, Global Service, your skills and qualifications should ideally be:
Business Administration or a technical/commercial education at similar level. Experience from similar job an advantage.
Excellent people management skills, including remote management and cultural differences. Transformation & change management experience a must.
High integrity and understands the need for ethics in business. Demonstrates proper business conduct.
Fluent English written and spoken. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers and peers.
Ability to prioritise and manage a considerable workload
Ability to think strategically whilst achieving results
Excellent communicator that can communicate at all levels and adopt a flexible & consultative approach
Ability to adapt to a changing business and market place
Ability to think creatively and exploit business opportunities
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work w/ technical and management personnel across a variety of businesses
Basic knowledge on IP and data communications.
Experience presenting high-tech products.
Ability to travel 30 to 60 days per year.
