For our Tools and Equipment design organization, we are looking for a Head of Engineering who takes responsibility for the entire design and development value chain. The role is reporting to the Head of Equipment.
How to contribute to our vision
The Offshore Tools and Equipment organization has the responsibility to manage and deliver equipment to support installation projects globally. The organization owns the full value chain; hence we are present in all equipment decisions from scoping, design to execution of installation projects. A special effort is put on safety and securing high uptime of the equipment throughout its lifetime. This is done through an integrated feedback loop, linking the use of equipment to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs and further back to the integrated design process for next generations of equipment to come.
As our Head of Equipment Development, you provide leadership and long-term strategic direction for the department. You will encourage and promote being best in class within Equipment Development and steer the department to enhance the mission and vision in alignment with the overall engineering strategic plan. The role will have direct responsibility for the future direction in close alignment with the Construction and Procurement team.
Manage a competent and dedicated team of team leads that covers the equipment engineering area. This includes a design organization in India
Responsible for setting, communicating and executing strategy and initiatives to meet company goals
Focus will be on performance management and people development including career and competence development of key engineering competences and team leads
Drive supplier collaboration together with procurement
Prioritize stakeholder management with focus on internal customers, external suppliers and other technical interfaces
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
You hold a university degree within engineering combined with minimum 5 years of relevant leadership experience from wind power or similar industry. You have proven experience in managing many different stakeholders and interfaces, internally as well as externally and succeeding in setting and executing long term strategies. You are knowledgeable within resource planning and budgeting. As a person you are open-minded, positive, proactive, motivating and self-determined. You take responsibility for your work; you value people and you possess strong strategic innovative orientation as well as strong decision making. You are familiar with working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. In addition, occasional travels to our global sites must be expected to be part of the role. For you, safety comes first when performing your tasks. You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
