The Group Legal function is headed by the Group Legal Director at Group headquarters and reports to the Group CFO.
The Conformity Assessment Team leads the support to three business areas (BA): Maritime; Business Assurance; and Supply Chain and Product Assurance (SCPA). DNV has the ambition to shape the future of assurance and the Conformity Assessment legal team will be instrumental in advising the Business on the development of new assurance services as well as continuing to be a trusted advisor in relation to regulatory matters and the impact on our existing service portfolio.
The legal team is interested in supplementing our team with a lawyer that has an interest in framing standards and negotiating with existing international, national and private bodies to push the growth beyond ship classification and certification into new areas of assurance such as ESG services and opportunities coming out of the Energy Transition (authentication of carbon credits and offsets and human rights auditing); climate adaption risk (Fit for 55 and Net Zero); and developing standards and frameworks in relation to Artificial Intelligence.
As part of the Conformity Assessment team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the legal landscape and become a key contributing partner within the Assurance industry.
