Are you graduating spring/summer 2022 and interested in Rotating Machine Design? Your base will be Tranby – our global subsea technology center and Norway manufacturing base. Your project teams will be global.What will you be doing?As a Design Engineer, you will be at the center of the design process, with responsibility for a variety of engineering tasks within unique subsea projects. You will be working with advanced subsea process systems for energy production, compression, boosting/pumping, processing, and separation. A rare opportunity to develop as part of an experienced and multi-discipline engineering team reaching across the globe. Your initial activities and tasks as part of subsea boosting projects or studies could include:Work as a team member design of advanced subsea pump systems, and contribute to studies and large delivery projectsPerform 3D modeling and design tasksPrepare design and fabrication drawingsAlign with Layout and Module Engineering and other disciplinesTasks are assigned, and to a certain extent defined and supported as needed, by senior personnelYou may interact directly with client’s technical representatives related to your scopesYou will work according to procedures, guidelines, and work instructionsWork and act according to Aker Solutions ValuesWe think you should have: BSc or MSc in an engineering discipline, preferably machine designGood communication skills in EnglishExperience with Solid Works CAD system will be an advantageProficiency in Microsoft Office applications is mandatorySubsea engineering study, courses or related work experience would be beneficialPersonal attributes: Demonstrate a proactive and innovative attitude with structured and solution-oriented mindset and excellent communication skillsBe open for new ideas and have a continuous improvement mindsetHigh interest in expanding own knowledge building internal network and understanding AKSO’s engineering processesStrong ability to quickly understand technical issues and learn how to perform new tasksBe a genuine team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both within own team and towards many other internal stakeholdersDemonstrate ability to work in global teams and have an international mentalityDecision making and execution skills - striving for quality and delivery on timeCustomer (internal and external) orientedHands on, structured and efficientMore reasons to work with us: As an employee in Aker Solutions, you have many career opportunities.
