Digital technologies will support this through improved safety, increased value creation, reduced carbon footprint and enabling new business models. Equinor is a leader in utilizing cutting edge digital technologies and has vast quantities of data, but the full potential of this data is yet to be unlocked using advanced technology such as cloud computing, microservice architectures, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.
The IT-unit (~750 employees) works closely with the business, supporting and delivering business driven solutions throughout Equinor.
The Digital Center of Excellence (~40 employees) is responsible for shaping Equinor's digital ambition, incubate new cross cutting digital initiatives and support digital projects.
The Cyber Defence Center (~20 employees) is responsible for detecting and responding to Cyber threats against Equinor globally both onshore and offshore. Cyber Security has a high focus in Equinor and is a critical function to safeguard our operations and enable our digital ambitions.
