Do you want to, develop and deliver big scale production equipment?

For our Global Process Engineering department in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, we are looking for a committed and motivated Senior Global Tool Developer to develop and implement production equipment for manufacturing Offshore Nacelles.
How to contribute to our vision
The main task as a Senior Global Tool Developer will be defining, developing and implementing equipment for NPI, production plants and new production lines. You will work closely with internal departments such as, Production and Process Engineering, R&D, Procurement and Quality as well as external suppliers around the world.
As Senior Global Tool Developer you will help drive the development of projects from the conceptual idea, designing to final test and implementation of various equipment and tools as lifting equipment, platforms, machines and auxiliary equipment. You will be working closely with various stakeholders in the organization securing input are captured into the development process of your projects. During implementation you will go onsite and ensure correct implementation of the project.
You are expected to create the requirement specifications, be the technical adviser during quotation and order placement review concept solution and support in the installation on site.
Your focus is to ensure high performance and cost competitive solutions without compromising quality and safety. As a part of choosing the right solutions you will be responsible for driving, establishing and supporting business cases on equipment and process solutions.
As you will have to be on site during implementation you should expect between 30-90 travel days yearly, depending on assigned region and project go-live date.

A structured team player with high communication skills, who thrives by securing that goals are met according to the schedule and strategy.
You probably have a background in production technology, toolmaking, mechanical engineering or similar with 5-10 years of experience with new product development, understanding technical specifications and documentations of production equipment. Experience with crane work will be considered advantageous. Understanding of Lean or automation will be beneficial.
As you will be involved in all project phases, you should thrive in a technical project environment characterized by cross-functional knowledge sharing. You possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams, with a hands-on approach and have an outgoing personality.
Strong communication skills and a flair for collaboration with stakeholders for multiple areas and levels of the organization is a necessity for this position.
A high level of English is required both written and oral since it is the corporate language of Siemens Gamesa.
