An exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime Sweden, part of our Global Customer Support division. Our office is located in Kristinehamn, but we are flexible if you are departing from another location within in Sweden since this role involves a lot of traveling.

As Field Service Engineer, you are serving customers both in and outside of Sweden, but much of your work is carried out in an international environment all around the world. Why traveling 120 up to 160 days per year can be expected. We are offering you a developing role with assignments within our entire marine product portfolio, for example Propeller, Waterjet, POD, Thrusters and Control systems. Your work includes everything from commissioning and installation, to maintaining and replacing parts in existing products with a focus on mechanics, hydraulics and/or electronics.
During these assignments, you often work in teams with colleagues within Kongsberg, but also from other companies and meet our customers. We therefore attach great importance to the ability to cooperate and being professional. In addition to collaboration, the work also involves individual assignments. Then, it´s important, that you can solve problems that arise in an independent and driven way.
Office work is part in this role, in which case good communication skills in writing are required to report on your service jobs. When working at the office, you will plan and prepare your upcoming assignments and provide technical support and other relevant business supporting tasks. We are constantly working to develop the skills of our Field Service Engineers to meet our customers´ needs and wishes. You will therefore receive ongoing training and development in security, product knowledge and customer service.

Qualifications and experience:Technical education or equivalent work experience in mechanics, hydraulics and/or electronicsGood communication skills in speaking and writing in EnglishAble to work in digital tools to search for drawings, write reports, book travel, travel claim etc.Preferable experience in previous position including travelingPrevious experience of leading projects, store keeping or education in mechatronics or similar we see as meritorious
