We are looking for a Director, Digital Solution OnWatchScout to support MacGregor’s Digitalization and Business Transformation ambitions in delivering on our strategic priorities to the business. In this role you will be working closely together with the DBT Management team, MacGregor Divisions, Engineering, product development teams and managers, product owners and engineering leads to ensure a successful global implementation of one of our key digital initiatives (OnWatchscout) and fulfilling the go to market strategy.

This role is Global, however preference of residence would be in one of our Central or North European locations
Main tasks and responsibilities

Develop and implement the action planning for OnWatch Scout, and create and maintain fact based analyses on monitoring progress
Leads, manages and deploy OnWatch Scout solution development involving numerous features and equipment types, using best in class project management concepts, practices, processes, and tools
Give functional directions to the activities of staff across the globe commercializing and implementing OnWatch Scout by giving guidance from lead generation to hardware and/or software installations on board, understanding the underlying architecture for the offerings
Preparing and implementation a organisational set-up for efficient divisional scaling and solution maintenance, including ‘buying-in’ all relevant stakeholders
Drive identification ofCustomer gain and pain points through seamless product/service/feature development and integration
Work together & liaise with key business stakeholders and support departments to decide upon prioritized horizontal (next equipment) and/or vertical scaling (next feature) steps
Ultimately responsible for timely delivery of OnWatch Scout solution software versions and features meanwhile securing high quality of software, UI/UX and customer valued information
Coaches and mentors expert technical teams (incl. 3 direct reports) towards delivering OnWatch Scout to our customers
Contributes to monthly reviews together with relevant business stakeholders
Work closely with other Solution Owners, Product Owners and Engineering Leads and Software Leads to define and plan the roadmap for OnWatch Scout mid term development

Presenting the solutions that are effective and appropriate for the target audience (technical, operational, commercial, management, customers, conferences, etc..).

What you’ll need to succeed:

8+ years relevant business experience, including 3 or more years in a digital function.

5+ years direct team leading experience, leading Matrix or cross functional teams
Extensive collaborative experience working in a dynamic global matrix organization.
Proven experience with turning digital concepts into viable and profitable solutions to customers

Understanding organisational dynamics to leading, driving and successfully implementing change across an traditionally engineering equipment centric driven organisation

Entrepreneurial skills to enable a collaborative agenda with software developers, architects, product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers, sales and other internal stakeholders and customers
Very strong customer (outside-in) orientation and able to bring customer/business requirements into the developments
A solution driven mindset, the ability to find the most suitable solutions for technical issues in gateway/cloud/frontend/analytics areas by considering the system as a whole.

Ability to translate, simplify and present complex technical & digital concepts to a wide stakeholder group
Excellent communication, interaction, influencing and team skills with the ability to work efficiently with wide networks in English
Strong leadership skills and meanwhile a hands-on “just-do-it” or “fail fast” entrepreneurial mentality
Cultural awareness and understanding, with fluent English language skills
Solid knowledge of and experience with design thinking and agile development methodologies
Experience with Merchant and Offshore industries advantageous
