Overview:

Currently to our office in Stockholm, we are looking for:

It is a newly formed role within the MiCloud Telepo UCaaS R&D, and the right candidate should be a proponent of transformational change, with an excellent track record of taking on the challenge to improve the delivery throughput of a team. The ideal candidate should be driven to build highly scalable, fault-tolerant and easy to administer infrastructure for deploying, configuring, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting services and applications. The role is varied in scope and technology and can entail the deployment of cloud solutions in GCP and/or AWS, delivering cloud projects, and supporting development teams with DevOps technologies (CI/CD pipelines, config management, etc.). One of the duties of the DevOps / Release Manager is also to evolve CI/CD framework within which the development department can accelerate deliveries to the production environments but also successfully realize the software quality goals for the ongoing and future projects.

The DevOps / Release Manager will be responsible for managing and improving the release of software throughout the software development lifecycle, including UAT, Pre-Production, Live and other ancillary environments. Assume ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process and automation.

Working closely with the developers and testers both in-house and external to ensure that the deliverables can be deployed in a consistent and automatic way and ensuring that any interdependencies are known.

Defining, publishing milestones, and working with the wider change team to ensure that the quality is met within the milestones defined. Sharing KPIs on deliveries throughout the entire life cycle of development, deployment, and delivery.

This role will require you to lead a small team of approximately 7 engineers and take ownership of RTO and RPO KPI and metric management. This role reports directly to the Senior Director R&D Cloud UCaaS Solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the DevOps TeamProvide supervision and direction to the DevOps team, both as a mentor and technical resource including hiring, on-boarding and performance discussions.Define and manage change control processes for development and release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deploymentFacilitate release activities across all MiCloud Telepo development ensuring quality and timely deployments across environmentsAssume ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automationDefine and ensure best practices are embraced and rolled out to drive scalabilityLead the end-to-end release workflows and detailed steps - to ensure on-time and effective delivery of high-quality releasesWork closely with development team(s) to resolve build problems/merge conflictsWork closely with the development team to integrate the QA process with the overall CI/CD pipeline / Agile software development life cycle.Oversee pre and post release tasks to ensure adherence to quality control processesDeveloping the GCP/AWS Platform using Terraform, Ansible for configuration of our UCaaS solution, building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and working in a Scrum TeaResponsible for maintaining consistency between MiCloud Telepo sandbox environments, from Development through QA, UAT and ProductionPartner with key stakeholders to define release plans for upcoming releasesHas intimate knowledge of the agreed upon QA process, how it fits into the overall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how it should be implemented across CI/CD pipelineStay apprised of changes in technology and industry practices related to CI/CD & DevOps
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of DevOps/Release Management experience3+ years of supervision/management experienceStrong agile/scrum methodology competenceDeveloper experience and experience implementing or managing the implementation of automated testing toolsCloud computing (Google Cloud Platform, AWS), preferably certified in one of these two cloud platformsExperience with Terraform and Infrastructure as code practicesExperience with DevOps tooling e.g. Ansible, Packer, Jenkins etc.Experience with version control software such as BitBucket or GitHubStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Strong analytical, problem solving and prioritization skillsExperience with fast and agile release cyclesExperience with Development Lifecycle and continues delivery/continues integration (CI/CD)Exceptional customer service skillsExcellent organizational skillsProject Management Experience using Agile technologies is a plusExperience with test case management and test automation toolsExperience working with offshore resources preferred
Education:
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience.
