We lower the ship’s emissions and improve the comfort for people onboard. Our market is global, and our products are mounted on some of the worlds most advanced ships. Our headquarter is located here in Gothenburg, where all departments including production are under the same roof.
For a long time, Humphree has proudly delivered first class products and services at a high pace. We have no intention of stopping and we are setting sail on digital capabilities. We are working on several industry-changing projects. Becoming a data-driven digital organization is at the core of this endeavour. We are now looking for a Manager to join our crew.
Role
As Manager of the mechanical design department you will be a key member in our company and help the engineers develop the mechanics needed to create clever stabilizing solutions with robustness worthy the maritime professionals who rely on our systems in their daily work. This involves designing housings for electronics, actuator gearboxes, carbon fins and everything in between, including quality assurance of the finished product. As Department Manager you will be a key contributor in this journey by managing and supporting a growing team of 4 skilled engineers. Your mission will be to lead the department's daily work by designing best ways of working, manage resources and recruit new people, making sure everyone has the tools to be productive. The role includes budget and personnel responsibilities, and you will become part of R&D management team. In collaboration with Product owners, Project Leaders and our software department you will create mechatronic control systems which revolutionize the comfort and ride quality of fast vessels.
You
As a person, you have a great interest in product development, are used to dealing with technical decisions, and of leading engineers in practice. You probably have several years of experience from a leading position such as Product Owner, Project Leader or similar, thus used to leading people in various organizations. We think you have solid knowledge of and experience with Agile development models and thereby have a modern way of looking at mechanical engineering.
