How to contribute to our vision
In the SGRE Service Business Unit we are looking for a motivated Converter Specialist to be part of our Power Systems Module Team in the Technical Systems organization within the Service Product Integrity &Technology Department.
As Converter Specialist you will play a key role in service business since it will be your responsibility to ensure on global level that the proper technical support for the converters is provided. As design authority is gradually transferred from On- and Offshore Business Units, you will have complete technical responsibility on all aspects of converters – from cradle to grave. The position also includes the development of After Sales products as well as participation in the development of next generation converters.
The position entails a high level of practical use of your expertise, empowerment and responsibility. You will be involved from the site investigations over development of countermeasures to the validation in test benches, workshops and wind turbine. Therefore, your knowledge and expertise will be essential in ensuring that the team delivers technical investigations, root cause analysis, design updates and retrofits and support for Repair and Refurbishment activities.
You will work closely with the Converter Team Lead in the Power Systems Module to support in order to ensure growth and development and represent SGRE as technical expert towards our customers.
What you need to make a difference
You have a wide experience in converter technologies and education as electrical engineer.
You need to be dynamic, autonomous, proactive and customer (internal or external) oriented. A practical mindset and relevant experience are needed to make a difference.
Collaboration with international teams and working in different company cultures is crucial in this position. Advanced English skills are required (both written and spoken) for the purpose of reporting, engineering statements and meetings in our international environment.
As part of a global team at least 30 travel days a year should be expected since you will be needed to visit suppliers, workshops, factories or sites
