The role
Red Rock, part of Ocean Infinity, is seeking a Control System Engineer to work with our lifting and handling solutions. As a part of our engineering team you will work with wide range of technology, from traditional local operated equipment to remote and autonomous operated equipment. As Ocean Infinity aim to transform the marine industry you will both continuous improve existing products and develop solutions the industry not yet have seen.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Develop technical and cost efficient solutions for products;
Work in multi discipline teams in projects;
Development, standardisation and documentation;
Support sales and service;
Follow up production and testing of equipment at sub suppliers;
Be “hands on” in projects and do practical work when required.Person Specification:
Ability to work efficiently in a team;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to find solutions to complex problems;
Time management;
Organization skills; and
Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English.Essential:
Technical education;
Experience from PLC programming, preferably Structured Text programming;
Understanding of mechatronic systems.Desirable:
Experience with testing and commissioning of equipment in the field;
Knowledge about electrical engineering;
Understanding of network communication and topology;
Class requirements for lifting appliances.Compliance:
Complies with Ocean Infinity management system policies, all OIMS practices, programs, and procedures;
Successfully completes required training as identified by OIMS and the management team;
Participates in the OIMS by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, and other related activities;
Informs an Ocean Infinity Supervisor, Team Lead, or Manager of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace;
