Then you should apply for a job with us!We are looking for a consultant to join our Floating offshore wind team in delivering services to the offshore wind industry. You will primarily focus on our key customers within the floating offshore wind market. Typical services will be linked to the planning, development, construction and operation phases of wind farm projects, including technology qualification, design verification, cost and market assessment, due diligence and general technical advisory.The overall purpose of the job is to support the Floating offshore wind team in its role to help DNV safeguard life, property and the environment and achieve our company vision: To be a trusted voice to tackle global transformations.As a consultant in our Floating offshore wind team you will have these main roles and responsibilities.Provide our customers with technical support related to related to planning and development of wind farm concepts and projectsDiscuss and resolve technical issues with project developers and lenders/investors and support customers though the financial closings of projects and through the construction phase (technical due diligence services)Perform market studies, cost studies and technical assessmentsCustomer contact and project management, including managing complex, technical projects from inception through to completionParticipate in business development activities. Build relationships and manage interfaces with external clients, initiate JIPs (Joint Industry Projects) contributing to drive the floating wind industry forwardYou will collaborate and have extensive contact with other departments in DNV, as various projects are staffed with multi-disciplinary experts in the company. Your tasks will not only be limited to floating wind but could involve other renewables such as bottom-fixed offshore wind, floating solar, wave power and integrated energy systems.Position Qualifications: To qualify you must have: MSc degree in a relevant engineering field is required. Subjects related to floating wind, offshore renewable energy, offshore and/or maritime industry is an advantageDemonstrable skills in presentation and communicationDemonstrable analytical skillsExcellent ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in EnglishPreferably familiar with (but not a prerequisite)Hydrodynamics, specifically regarding load and response of floating structuresAdvanced numerical analysisKnowledge of programming or scripting with PythonExperience with global load and response analysis software e.g. SIMA (SIMO, Riflex), OrcaflexKnowledge of international rules and standards for floating offshore wind support structuresWe are looking for a professional who is highly committed to project deliveries and customer satisfaction.
