Development and Production International (DPI) is responsible for Equinor’s portfolio of producing assets and planned field developments in all countries outside Norway and Brazil. DPI's intent is to build and grow a competitive international portfolio - always safe, high value and low carbon. DPI’s operates across six continents and implements rigorous safety standards, technological innovations and environmental awareness.Job DescriptionThe Competence Engineer reports to Field Maintenance Manager and has the following responsibilities:

• Carry out duties of assessor and internal verifier

• Act as focal point for competence interfacing with all internal and external bodies

• Responsible for assurance of key contractor competence systems, including coordination of specialist support

• Operations focal point for Training Management System (TMS) provider to ensure effective delivery and management of training, with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Corporate CMS Competence Policy, with the Regulator to ensure competence profiles and system are seen as ‘best in class’ and that any Regulator input to enhance the system for robust Safety Management is achieved.

• Ensure all corporate processes contained within the company’s Business Management System are reflected accurately within the CMS and that processes reference UK competence and training requirements.

• DPI UKI PRO focal point for competency for the wider global organisation

• Administrator and super user of CAMS (CMS) system

• OM focal point for all digital field work applications and devices including but not limited to Permit Vision, Shift Vision, ECHO, InField, Hololen2, iPADs etc.

• Report and feedback on the impact and development of digital tools

• Fulfill the role as system administrator for OM applications e.g. Permit Vision, ShiftVision, eLearning (Mintra training portal)

• Promote utilisation of digitalisation on and onshore within OM and the wider organisation

• Develop the onshore control room / simulator functionality and utilisation to embed a new way of working for Mariner Field and maximise utilisation of these toolsQualifications• Competence assessor qualified

• Internal verifier qualified

• Good working knowledge of permit to work systems

• Operational background

• Broad knowledge of offshore operations across all spheres in relation to competence / training requirements

• Good understanding of digitalisation opportunities within the industry
