We are looking for a highly qualified Commodity Manager within our SGRE Service Procurement organization developing, in close collaboration with the cross-functions, sourcing strategies for maritime services (specifically chartering of Heavy Lift vessels) for our global Procurement department. You will be reporting to the Head of Procurement Offshore Service Logistics and be in any of our locations in EMEA region.
How to contribute to our vision
As part of the role as a Commodity Manager, you will have global responsibility for total purchasing Volume (PVO) of Commodity based on defined material and ESN scope, as well as contributing to global commodity strategy, transparency, capacity creation, make and buy decisions, built strategy, execution at best cost, continuous improvement plan and communicate it in the region (s) to ensure long term and cost-efficient supply. The Commodity Manager has an impactful role on market investigation for new technologies and expansion of the supplier base, as well as central selection and negotiation with global or regional suppliers (incl. documentation, communication, strategic evaluations, qualifications, and development).
In the role as Commodity Manager, you will have to negotiate regional and global frame contracts, targets, budget, forecasts and negotiation concepts together with regions and in area of responsibility, as well as identifying particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk management and change management.
In this role, you will also generate, document, and implement savings (DI 1-3), e.g., CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI (e.g., CNI, SIA, e-auctions, Supply Base Optimization, FPL, GVS share) and ensure the target achievement within the respective Commodity in the region/globally to contribute to the success of the business. You will also ensure P2P compliance and identify problems and update or modify working methods within own function. You will, continuously identify with internal and external stakeholders’ opportunities to increase value add of function and execute, as well as manage and track resource situation, and ensure that gaps identified are filled or tasks prioritized to ensure no over usage of available resources.
What you need to make a difference
Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for:
A motivating team player, who is resilient, responsible, and structured with excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders high and low in the organization as well as external stakeholders. You are motivated by providing quality results within the deadlines and are not frightened of working in an ever-changing organization and environment. Furthermore, you have an analytical mindset, exceptional coordination and collaboration skills, commercial understanding, solid technical competencies, strong leadership skills and thrive in a dynamic environment.
You also hold a master’s degree in engineering, business, or economics and preferably have extensive (min 5 years) experience from Procurement/Commercial functions within Wind Energy Offshore Construction and/or O&M project business. You are data driven, with a strong profile within technical and commercial disciplines and have excellent negotiation and communication skills, enabling you to convey your message in a concise and efficient manner.
Furthermore, you have a deep understanding and professional experience with Procurement Contracts for subcontracted services, especially in the maritime area and are an excellent negotiator and have good customer service skills.
It is a big advantage if you thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations. It is therefore important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
