Alandia is now recruiting a
Claims Executive – Marine Hull Claims
to join our Marine Hull Claims Service team in Mariehamn, Helsinki or Stockholm.
You will be part of a competent and experienced team of claims executives and claims adjusters dedicated to support and serve our insured shipowners in challenging times on 24/7 basis when they have suffered loss due from grounding, collision, engine breakdown, fire and other perils which may be encountered in the operation of a vessel.
The role is to ensure and maintain high quality claims service by being a member our claims service team which mainly works towards our insured shipowners mainly in, but not limited to, the Nordic countries. This entails tight collaboration and communication with the fellow members in the claims service team and regular contact with our insureds, insurance brokers, service providers as correspondents, surveyors, lawyers and other specialists as may be required.
The position is also included in the emergency phone duty roster being a part of the 24/7 claims service.
Internally you will also collaborate with a team of Underwriters. You will report to the Hull Senior Claims Manager.
To be successful in this role you need to have:
an interest in Shipping and Marine Insurance as well as willingness to learn
experience from shipping or other experience relevant to the business
education within the Maritime field
good communication skills, both written and spoken, in English and Swedish. Finnish is an advantage
great team working skills as well the ability to work as an individual
