A very exciting role in the Cargo Management team as Cargo Management Coordinator has become available.

The role will support the further development of a framework for Cargo Safety standards in the entire value chain for Maersk and related brands.
The Cargo Standards Team drives knowledge of Cargo Safety and container stuffing both commercially and operationally including issuing governance guidelines following international practices, legislation and Maersk minimum standards. This includes developing standard procedures, safety minima, training requirements and certification.
The position gives the right candidate(s) immediate insight into the entire Maersk organization including, safety, crewing, operation centers across the globe etc., and direct contact with vessel crews. Further often direct contact with Shippers and key clients is relevant.
A key focus in the coming years is to assist with enabling digital transformation to ensure ease of business, whilst ensuring safety and correct cargo handling.
Here is a real opportunity to get an understanding of what actually goes on inside a container during transport, what measures are needed to control the cargo movement inside the container. Furthermore gain understanding of specialized cargo solutions, such as Flexitank’s, Intermediate Bulk Containers, Steel Coil transport solutions as well as equipment types such as Reefers, Open Top containers, Flat Racks etc. The position also offers involvement in Out of Gauge and Break Bulk transport.

Key responsibilities
The Cargo Standards Team is driven by a strict Safety-first ambition through governance issued to the frontline teams, while driving Cargo Safety knowledge and expertise locally through guidelines and educational material as well available sources related to Cargo Safety.
Key tasks for the Cargo Management Coordinator/Project and Procedures Coordinator:Maintain a broad knowledge of Cargo Safety/Care and related legislation, practices & trends together with a good understanding of the current and future business needs.Understand and issue Cargo Safety internal and external procedures.Produce and maintain statistics over cargo related incidents.Support establishing Cargo Standards as a center of expertise with local, organizational and external reach.Design customer centric solutions which help enable circular economy development, ease of business and global trade.Support the management of Cargo Standards procedure and processes library.

We are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a relevant education combined with practical experience.
Knowledge of Container Business and/or Ship Management is a prerequisite. Project Management experience is welcome.
