How to contribute to our vision
For our Blade Features team in Offshore Technology, we are looking for a skilled blade features engineer to take ownership of our Leading Edge Protection (LEP) development activities. The Blade Features team is responsible for exploring and maturing new functional technologies and maintaining roadmaps in alignment and synergy with the overall blade technology roadmap. The team engage with several subsystems e.g., surface protection system, lightning protection system, sensors, and add-ons, both in terms of material selection and structural design. The Blade Features team have the overall technical responsibility of the features all the way through their lifetime, from early-stage development, through product integration, and to securing the integrity in the fleet.
As technical lead for the LEP system you will:
Be responsible for LEP development in close cooperation with blade designers, process engineers, aerodynamics specialists and suppliers.
Take lead on technical risk management, verification and validation activities, creating design rules and integration into receiving products.
Manage a high degree of collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
We are looking for a person who has a technical and analytical mindset and is eager to expand the knowledge within advanced modelling of failure modes associated to LEP systems.
You should have a Master or PhD degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Maritime engineering or Wind Energy. We expect you to have knowledge in the area of mechanics of materials and mechanical system design as well as have a proven track record in working with production environments.
Engaging with stakeholders in different parts of the organization energizes you. You can work independently, have a structured approach to your work and can handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
You have excellent English skills and have great communication skills. Danish is not required but considered a plus.
