Provide the best technical and commercial options for TDW OS clients and bridge the gap between the Sales and Technical departments to generate quotes in answer to our client’s inquiries.Technical expertise & support (50%)Communicates with Regional Sales Managers and provides technical support to ensure client’s needs on each proposal and scope of work are clearly understood,Analyzes jobs from a technical point of view using customers’ technical specifications,Develops creative quotes that solve the customer’s problems and deliver optimum profitability for company,Ensures technical limitations of designs are clearly stated in quotes/bids,Interfaces with Operations, Pre-Production Engineering and Project Management to ensure technical execution and viability of quotes prior to issue to client,Creates method statements according to TDW procedures,Performs technical hand over of received orders to the Project Management department; Customer satisfaction (40%)Develops relationships with key clients where customers require a high degree of technical assistance supporting Sales Managers and Offshore market segment,Is a technical point of contact towards clients and Engineering department in bid phase,Ensures that all information concerning follow-up of quotations from company, distributors and customers are given to the Proposal Management department in order to issue accurate forecast,Participates in client meetings in order to present technical solutions when needed,Potentially conduct on-site pre-job field audits/evaluations to identify clients’ requests,Solves technical issues with TDW equipment and provides answer to customers on specific requests; Identification of potential new products/services (10%)Advises the management regarding new technologies/services that may have potential market value,Incorporates proven standard TD Williamson products into Offshore Operations portfolio.At senior level,Works independently with high level of technical and applications expertise,Leads in developing cost estimates and schedules for projects,Advises and support Market Development personnel in establishment of quotations regarding technical and financial aspects,Provides high level of technical expertise in a broad range of competencies in client contact and sales activity as required,Provides guidance and technical expertise regarding mechanical equipment in operational projects to relevant managers and personnel as required. Relationships with others & Communication:Reports to Manager, Pre-Production Engineering,Ensures an effective interface with the Sales Managers in all TD Williamson regions,Develops good relationship with all members of Proposal Management and acts as technical coach for team members when needed,Liaises with Engineering and Project Management departments to ensure that technical proposals are valid,Acts as “Center Of Excellence parent manager” for offshore application engineers in regional locations. Customer Orientation:Ensures that technical scope and content of quotes/bids directly correlate to our client’s specific inquiries,Develops and maintains good relationships with customers,Ensures that all sales managers’ requests are treated correctly and within deadlines.Master or bachelor degree in Engineering combined with min 5 years engineering experience in offshore industry,Good commercial and interpersonal skills,A devoted and structured working behavior,Good communication skills in English, both written and oral.
