Nordic Accountant role
Nordic accountant to be part of the Nordic team, working closely and reporting to the Nordic Finance Manager.
Month end close for 8 Nordic entities, includes making entries and reviewing entries made by Budapest team, cash management, GL, accruals, prepayments, payroll.
Payroll review and preparation of GL entries for the Nordic entities.
Month end reporting and review of the Nordic region.
Management of VAT, oversight of VAT returns and reviewing / assisting with any queries or issues, including liaison with offshore to resolve problems arising from their data through to tax review and payment.
Balance sheet reconciliations and ARM, both preparation and reviewing.
Manage offshore team relationships to ensure that information needed is provided in a timely manner. Teams that we deal with frequently are the invoice/billing teams, Budapest transactional finance and AP teams, project teams, payroll, FP&A & tax.
Audit assistance for the Nordic entities. The work includes pulling together reconciliations, working with offshore teams to get all revenue data, assisting with queries from the auditors and assisting with the preparation of the ETB, audit adjustment journals and posting the transfer pricing adjustment.
Manage manual payments with Global Payments. This tends to be manual salary payments, tax payments and advances to vendors.
Providing assistance to FP&A teams. There are few projects, which can require additional support in order to achieve the desired posting month on month. This can include sharing all invoices received in the month for them to review accruals are as expected.
Assisting with various country statistical surveys. Often related to a range of subjects such as sales by region or business outlook.
Our ideal candidate
3+ years of accounting and finance experience
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related degree
Knowledge of international organizations leasing and managing offshore teams
Previous experience working with GL month close task, payroll and/or VAT reporting
Experienced Excel user, Hyperion and PeopleSoft knowledge preferable
Must be able to work independently
